Disney’s latest ride, and the first of its kind, is surprisingly located in Downtown Disney. The new Characters In Flight lets you climb aboard a large, helium filled balloon that will lift you into the air up to 400 feet. If you’ve ever wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, Characters in Flight is your chance, just minus the hot air! After boarding the balloon your captain will raise it up and on a good day the balloon goes to a maximum of 400 feet. You can see many parts of Disney World when at the maximum height such as the entire Downtown Disney, Epcot and parts of Hollywood Studios. If you love heights Characters in Flight is for you as its double the height of Expedition Everest. Below is a video of the balloon lifting off and the view from the top!
