Pardoned Turkey Parade

Posted under Holidays & Thanksgiving

Disney always loves to celebrate the Holidays and Thanksgiving is no different. The video I have for you on this fine holiday is the Thanksgivings Day Parade featured at the Magic Kingdom. The parade has your favorite characters, as usual, with some festive creatures thrown into the mix with some fall music. The parade is to welcome the President’s pardoned turkey to the park as that is where it will stay for the rest of its pardoned life. Have fun eating your turkey today and make sure to check out the Disney World Thanksgiving Day parade below!

Space Mountain Update

Posted under Magic Kingdom & Space Mountain

Over the past several months Disney World’s Magic Kingdom’s version of Space Mountain has gotten some major upgrades. Not only did the track get mostly replaced with new pieces, the entire pre and post queue area has been made over with updates that go farther then just some paint. As you walk onto the ride you can now play games, like a new version of asteroids, and see some cool stuff. Of course the windows to the “stars” are still there and better then ever! There is also a new post show area with more games and some animatronics as well. The videos below show pre, post and during. They are all thanks to AttractionsMagazine who was able to catch a soft opening glimpse of the ride and shoot some great footage for us all to see! If you go ride the new and improved Space Mountain drop us a comment an let us know what you thought!

Swan Resort

Posted under Resorts & Swan Hotel

Since a friend of mine will soon by staying at the Swan Hotel in Disney World I figured I’d look it up on YouTube to see exactly what she’ll be staying in. I must say I’ve been to the resort once during one of my stays to play mini golf but didn’t get a chance to look around the premise or even go inside. It is said to be one of the top places to stay in Disney and from the looks of it one of the most beautiful as well! There are plenty of swans to go around and many fountains as well. Take a look of the Swan resort below and let us know what you think. Have you ever stayed there and if so tell us your story of your Swan Resort stay!

Rafiki’s Planet Watch

Posted under Animal Kingdom & Rafiki's Planet Watch

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a somewhat hidden attraction in Rafiki’s Planet Watch. After boarding the Wild Life Express train you arrive at the planet watch building where the real fun begins. On the ride there you also get to see behind the scenes of where animals live during the night and learn a bit about what it takes to run the park. It’s more of an educational experience as you get to view animals being taken care of right in front of your eyes. There is a section that features a glass window where many animals are taken care of and some vet checks are often done there. If you want a somewhat Epcot experience while in Animal Kingdom, and a nice train ride as well, check out Rafiki’s Planet Watch. You’ll cool off, have some fun and learn a lot about animals!
