Star Tours

Posted under Magic Kingdom & Star Tours

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to one of my favorite rides at Disney World, Star Tours. It’s a simulation ride themed to every one’s favorite movie: Star Wars, that lets you blast off along with R2D2 and travel among the stars. Your captain “Rex” lets you know its his first flight, which makes everyone uneasy and makes for a fun ride. You watch a large screen through the “windshield” of the ship, allowing you to actually feel like you are flying. The simulation does a great job of actually feeling like you are flying through space and part of the Star Wars drama that unfolds. You go through a large ice rock and even get tangled up in a battle. In the end you safely, somewhat, land back in the Star Tours terminal and you’re free to leave. If some of you have motion sickness it may not be the best video to watch, then again it’s not the best ride to partake in either if you find yourself getting sick on some other Disney attractions. Yes I’m talking about the tea cups.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Posted under Magic Kingdom & Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is one of “triple whammy” mountains featured in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. After boarding a run away train you are set off along the mountains, racing through caves and a glacier field. Although the coaster may not be the tallest or fastest, Big Thunder takes you dipping and hopping through an amazing terrain as you almost feel as if you’ll run into the mountain any second! Its fun for the kids, adults and everywhere in between as the scenery makes the ride all worth it. Give Big Thunder Mountain Railroad a digital ride below and let us know what you think of this crazy train ride through the mountains and caves of Disney World!

Walt Disney World Top 7 Must Sees

Posted under 7 Must Sees & Resorts

When I found this video I just had to post it. I’ve been looking for the Walt Disney World Top 7 Must Sees since returning from my latest trip to Disney in May and I’ve finally found it! The show ‘Walt Disney World Top 7 Must Sees’ runs on its own channel in all rooms of Disney World hotels. The show counts down the best seven things to do and see in Disney World, along with giving you a rundown of all the parks. If you’ve never been to the park, or if you just want to see what is new, this video is the best thing to start off with. You get a feeling of how the parks are from the comfort of your hotel room and better yet: it runs 24/7. Yes I know I’m a bit fanatic about a simple video but it’s one of my favorite things about going to Disney World, watching the newest Must Sees. Watch below and leave a comment on what you thought. It’s a great way to get your Disney fix, just close your eyes and imagine you are sitting in your hotel room! Enjoy.

Osbourne Family Spectacle of Lights

Posted under Christmas & Osbourne Spectacle of Lights

Every Christmas Disney lets the Osbourne family, no not THOSE Osbounres, invade the Hollywood Studios Streets of America to string millions of Christmas lights, 5 million to be exact. They fill the entire area from top to bottom in Christmas spirit and this year they’ve turned things up a notch. Now all of the lights “dance” to the music being played in the area, making one amazing light show. The story goes that the Osbournes had to buy their neighbors home to allow their light display grow. When Disney Imageniers saw they show they asked the family to move their show to the Hollywood Studios, where they’ve been stringing lights ever since. Below are just a few videos from this years Osbourne Family Spectacle of Lights. After watching leave a comment here and let us know what you think of the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Lights.

Cinderella’s Castle Christmas

Posted under Christmas & Cinderella's Castle & Magic Kingdom

Starting in 2007 Disney World’s famous Cinderella Castle is decorated for Christmas. During Mickey’s Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom the castle comes alive with dazzling icicles strung throughout the spires. Of course its just not that simple as Disney puts on a show every night to turn on the lights. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald all argue on how to decorate the castle when the Fairy Godmother appears to help make the decoration real. She decides that Cinderella will choose, as it is her castle after all, and in the end she chooses the icicles. And so icicles it is and the castle is lit, shining brightly with several icicles.
